Pam Baldwin, Executive Director

 

Pam Baldwin, Executive Director of The Interfaith Alliance of Idaho since 2003, has been an activist and organizer in Idaho for over 20 years. Dedicated to justice and equity, Pam has served as director of the Idaho Rural Council, on the board of the National Family Farm Coalition, and as an organizer for Idaho’s statewide progressive coalition, United Vision for Idaho.
 
Special honors
Pam received the Human Rights Leader of the Year for 2004 at the annual Progressive Celebration & Awards Dinner by United Vision for Idaho, Idaho's statewide progressive coalition.
During Boise’s Pride Week June, 2004, Pam and The Interfaith Alliance of Idaho were given the Birch Award for organizing people of faith to work on undoing heterosexism.
 
Organizing training
includes Western Organization of Resource Council’s  organizer and staff director trainings; Western States Center’s (WSC) Advanced Leadership Mentorship Program; 15 annual WSC Community Strategic Training Institutes; WSC, Idaho Women’s Network and United Vision for Idaho trainings on undoing racism, sexism and oppression; and the week long United for a Fair Economy’s  “Train the Trainers.”

 

 

 

BOARD OFFICERS

 

Ed Keener, President

      A retired Presbyterian minister, Ed now serves as President of the Board of Interfaith Sanctuary Homeless Shelter and Services on the board of Ten Thousand Villages; President of the Board of Kessler-Keener Lectures; is active in the Collister Neighborhood Association; works for public transportation on a citizens ACHD Advisory Committee and with the City of Boise on the State Street Transit Corridor Study.  An avid vegetable and flower gardener, and bee keeper he has created a retreat place on the 3 acres of his north Boise property which includes a labyrinth for public use. 

      "I retired early so I could return to Boise to work for social justice and peace in our community."

 

Pam Heuman, Vice President, Liaison to United Vision of Idaho

      I am a member of Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel.

      My father-in-law and husband were Rabbis of the Synagogue prior to their deaths. I have 3 daughters and 4 grandsons.

Rev. Betty Beck, Treasurer

      The Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Emmett, Betty lives in Boise and has been active in TIA-Idaho since 1999.  She has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer and was a founder of the Emmett Valley Anti-Drug Coalition.

 

Yvette Sedlewicz, Secretary

      Yvette is a  Geriatric Care Manager, Legal Nurse Consultant, Registered Nurse, Citizen Activist, and an avid painter.  As an elected member of the Brewster [MA] Board of Health she was instrumental in passing a town-wide, stringent Anti-Smoking Regulation.  She is a Member/Volunteer, Snake River Alliance, Member, ACLU; Member, Idaho Women’s Network; Volunteer, Interfaith Sanctuary Homeless Shelter and Services; Volunteer, Idaho Humane Society

      My personal motto is "Don't complain if you are not prepared to help bring about change".
